A week to remember

To many if they have a choice they would want to forget a period of their life that's very, very difficult.

For me, I would say the past week is a week to remember. Thou I would say it's one of the lowest point of my life but at the same time I had exprienced the greatest comfort I ever received.

Thank you all for your love, prayer and support. Most importantly thank God for everything.

For it is not mine to lose but yours to take.

I pray that all of you will have the sama attitude towards the things that's happening to you, especially when it's very difficult to understand.

Be grateful to our Lord. Turn to Him and He will surely comfort you. Not your ways but His way. You determine all things.

For it is His to give and mine to receive.

Move house in 5 years time, most likely....

Had discussed with Evelyn regarding us taking care of our parents when they are older and just last night, my father sounded out that he will retire in 5 years time.

Thank God that both of us had talked about it and have sort of plan about it liao.

As time goes by, I realise that my life is really not about myself but the people around me. My wife, my son, my parents, my parents-in-law and my DG.

So for those that are reading, I think it's good that you also give a thought on how you should plan the rest of your days, especially on issue like taking care of your parents. Think it's very easy for us to get married or remain single then go on to live our prefered lives, usually without much thought about our parents.

We should seriously think about. Live not only for ourselves but for others. Others before self, just like someone around 2 thousand years ago....

What I do from 8PM to 12AM

This will be the timing that I will be at home most of the night. What will I usually do:

1. On laptop, play FM 08, check email and surf net
2. Watch football or sports news

Reason I am writing this down was I thought thru this morning of what Eve said yesterday of me should spend more time with Amos, which I hate to admit I should improve. It's very easy for me to do my own things in the night especially when Amos tend to stick with Evelyn, which I have all the more reason not to tend to him.

Sometime we ask why things dun seems to be right when the very reason is because of ourselves. How can I expect Amos to grow up to be a God fearing person when the father dun teach or model properly that all he do when he goes home like he can switch to the "worldly mode" and do the things himself wan to do.

When we got home "okay Amos. play by urself" then hopefully he will go to sleep soon, if not my wife sure can handle wan. I am sure some of you might find it a surprise that I am like that or maybe some of u might sing the same tune as me.

I am not gonna hide it but to be frank, I can easily just carry on like this and dun give a 2nd thought but I think I ought to do something. Pray that with God's help I will be able to change. Think the best person to see if this will come true will be my dear wife.

Pray that I can lead my family in the way that pleases God for it's always easy to go out to serve others when we can easily overlook the very close ones around us. And I also pray for all you guys out there who finds it hard to do so too.

All I wanna do is get some sleep

3.30PM I reach home today. After doing the laundry, I went to sleep together with Amos and Evelyn. We just sleep. Now just pray that people will pray and answer the calling....

Been trying to sleep early, do house work and manage work the past 2 weeks.

Sleep early, possible. But need to put in more effort by not staying up too late.

Do house work, think once you are married there's no reason to go out if your house is not clean up.

Manage work, trying my best.

Movie session and A&E every 4 to 6 weeks

Thought of using my hse to the fullest. Cause with Amos, it's quite hard to fellowship outside so thought of getting people to come over.

Today is the 1st and there will be many more to come.

T.C, Mar and Ruth came. Watched a so-so movie called Hairspray.

Like wat Ruth said, must start around 8 plus. If not will end like today, 1AM!!!

Went to Daniel's house for his wedding briefing on Saturday night and met Mar Mar there. Dun how it led to us saying to watch "不能說的秘密" at my hse.



Thanks to Albert's projector, better than a 30 plus 40 inch TV. Think I am gonna get one too.

Weekend full of event

Before I start, just wanna share I "PASS" my IPPT!!!! Really got to thank God cause I didn't train for at least for 3 months, especially for running. Of course can't carry on like this forever so gonna train myself up soon...

Saturday, my Poly friends came over to my house.



Really happy to be spending time with them again. Hope to have more such gathering in the future.

Sunday, things were quite normal. Had 3 rounds of Chinese Chess with Li Chuan during the BASIC Games session. Went to Danny and Audrey's house and played their Wii, actually it belongs to their friend.

Really love that machine and I surely gonna get it in Dec if I have spare cash. Love the Boxing man. Wonder can I go over to play next Sunday??? And now, both my arms are super painful loh......

Biggest Challenge So Far

When come to challenges, people usually link it to careers and their own dreams in life. Well, guess for both Evelyn and myself surely is the never ending house work.

When we just started to moved in, I seems to enjoy doing the house work. But as time goes by it seems harder and harder. Really got to get myself to go on and make the effort to clean up the house cause this is part of marriage.

Do pray that we can really handle our house work properly.

Finally, my very own Saturday

Never had a Saturday that really belongs to Evelyn and myself. Not really feeling well, think the flu bug gonna "completely rule over" me soon. Stayed home to 3 plus and went for lunch.

Almost went to watch "881" but again, didn't really recover so decided to head home. Actually should be Eve's home.

Got home by 7pm. Managed to watch the Rugby World Cup 2007 between New Zealand and Italy. The All Blacks is really good loh!!!! Thou I like England, but I think the Blacks should win this time.

Got sms from Wilson around 9 pm. Bowling at CDANS.

Didn't play, just wanna spend time talking to him and Hui Fen. Talk abt our live and abt the upcoming weddings (Lewis wan and Hui Ming's). And of course talk abt baby.


Wilson sharing he will faint if Hui Fen gonna give birth, he scared of bxxxd. Ha Ha

Radio still good...

Was abt to fall a sleep last night (or should I say this Morning) and happen to notice this little Tiger Beer mini clock cum radio by the bed side. Decided to turn it on and out came an oldie from the 90's. The station is "九三三".

Almost forgot "九三三" used to be my favourite station (think it's the same for most of you). The station plays a big part in why I love to "K". Used to remember how I would standby by the radio and wait for the latest songs of 刘德华 and 张学友. Then I would record their songs on tape (Yes, tape. That time can't afford CD) and I would keep playing and repeat verse by verse until I can memorise the whole song.

With MP3 on hand phone now, I almost forgot the wonderful time I used to have before the radio (of course there are much important things to do now). Think this just goes to show how relax and enjoyable my teenage days were. No worries of not enough money for my daily needs or cracking my head thinking of how to make my weekend happening. Just simply stayed at home and have "In House KTV". Those were the days.

Just happy to be at home

Been quite tired the past week, only got myself to blame cause not been sleeping early. Had a great time with the "TAKA" guys ths afternoon, my DG group during Church. Thou not all of them came, but it's just great to talk to one another over some snacks. Thanks guys.

Took a nap(slept from 7pm to 9pm) and now just sitting in my living room, resting. There's no place like home.

Update on what I did on Saturday, 25th Aug

Brought Eve to see the doctor in the morning. Everything fine, will visit the doctor in 3 weeks time. But still dun know boy or girl yet. But mummy, 3 aunt and the cousins who were there seems excited, maybe except for Alvin.

Brought Eve to Li Chuan's hse for BASIC CLDG and I did my own study. Had a mini celebration for the AUG baby. Look up for my facebook for the action!!!

Went KTV with some brothers and sisters. Thank to Daniel, Cherry and Mar Mar for getting the cake for Eve. Great to have you back with us Alex. Must sing "愛如潮水" again next time, truly enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing Jay (did I spell correctly??) hope to see him around more often.

Had great fun and went for a short supper. Lesson learn, never pour "HOT" water into the drain, especially near the hawker centre. If not "Xiao Qiang" will come out and play. At least now I know Mar Mar is a very brave women, Ha Ha.

Back to the good old days....

Had a house warming for some of my closest Sec Sch days friends, some with their partners, just hours ago.



Thanks guys for coming. Sorry if my cooking isn't really nice, hope for improvement in the future.

Played my wedding videos to show them the actions they missed, hope that it will not add pressure to those who are gonna get married soon. Hee Hee.

Really had a great time guys, you dun often get to meet friends you have known for 10 over years. Hope to have more such session in the future.
