Safely back at home

Thank God for keeping all of us safe back from church camp on Sunday.

Not sure if the same gang will be able to drive up next year but surely we are thankful for the enjoyable trip together with the family of Daniel's and Li Chuan's.

More on the "3 in 1" teaching next time.

Sometimes when you can't sing

Sometimes we can't sing because we dun know the lyrics and music.

Sometimes we can't sing because we are not in mood.

Sometimes we can't sing because we are filled with emotions.

The last is the saddest but it also shows how much the person meant to you.

May the Lord our God gives us strength day to day as we live each day for Him and that we may enjoy every moment that He has given us.

Who should go for church camp?

Church camp is THE event for Evelyn and myself. We are thankful that we managed to sign but by the deadline last weekend. Did you missed it?

I still have 2 more DG members who have yet to sign up as there were unable to make it for service this weekend so pray that they can still sign up.

Over the years I have met various people during the Church Camp and their reason and purpose for going can be different. Some go to learn more about God, some go for the cheap holiday, some go for the fellowship and there are some who did not know why they go at the end of the trip. Whatever it is, it is surely another wonderful opportunity for people to come to hear God's word and to know His great purpose for all mankind.

People make their choice on whether to attend the church camp or not. No one has the right to stop anyone from attending. The only one who can stop the person from going is themselves.

Pray for those who have yet to sign up to be able to head down to the Golden Horses this June. May we continue to encourage people around us to come and listen to God's word and be sure that we do not push them away.

Fireworks during Church Camp 2009

This was taken on Friday, 5 June, at around 9.20pm at the lake of The Palace of the Golden Horses.

I was actually on my way to look for Paul to help take the equipments for the games on Saturday but couldn't remember the room number. As I was thinking how to find him, the fireworks stared. So I immediately took out my phone and film it.

Think a lot of the campers missed it cause when it happen, most of them are still at the ballroom. Hope that you enjoy this. Till now I still dun know why there's a fireworks.

LC scores a hat-trick!!

1st passports, 2nd hor-lan, third battery.

LC, please note that we are all really cool about it and we really enjoyed those experience, hahaha!!! We still love you very much.

Not gonna tell you wat it means, only those in the convoy will know. So if you wanna know, go find out yourselves!!!

Church Camp will never be the same, at least for another 10 years.

What's different about this year's church camp and the others that I been before is Amos. Thou we brought him along last year but this year really is different.

No more doing what we wan to do like hang out with people, explore places outside the campsite, fellowship till late. As long as Amos cannot do it, we can't do it.

It's really not easy but we are not gonna give up going to church camp every year because both Eve and I know this is one of the things that will help him to come to know God better. No matter how tough it might be, we as parents are gonna do it for Amos. Please pray for us.

Think this will go on at least until he becomes a teenager. By then, how old will I be?

What happen last church camp?!?!

I strongly encourage those who blog to just keep blogging. I have the habit every now and then to look at blog that I post one year ago to see what's happening. Likewise, I look up what happen in June 2008 and saw my entry of Church Camp 2008.

How time flies, how Amos grew. Am thankful for those who made it the 1st time last year to church camp but sadly this year most of them can't go. God had been good and there are some new people from DG going up for the 1st time!!!

Maybe, if God's willing, the 13 from our DG who missed this year may be able to go for Church Camp 2010 next year?? Too much to ask? Dun think so if God wants all of us to go.

Relax mode.

Counting down to Church Camp liao. 2 days to go. Actually is 1.5 days cause tomorrow only working half day. YA!!

Shots from Strength in Weakness...

Summary of Church Camp 2008:

Amos is happy most of the time, but can cry a long long time too if he wants to...

daddy is tired after leading the bible studies....

okay food served at your regular level one dining area....

great fellowship and....

having fun of course!!!

Anyone like me wish that Church Camp should be longer....

Praise the Lord for the many lessons and reminders during the camp. Coming back from Church Camp has always made me refreshed and encouraged on how I should live for Him.

The truth is how I wish the camp can be longer, or at least my stay in Melaka can be longer. Felt bad when I can't help Eve much to take care of Amos when I am suppose to lead the group as DG leader, and not to mention that I fell sick too (which I still am now).

How I really miss when I go for church camp as a camper, but I know serving Him during the Camp is the right way.

Another reason that I wish that the camp is longer is because of the issues I am facing when I am back. Things seems to be getting worst. Pray that God will help us thru this time of "affliction".
