Informed or reformed

What is the point of being informed and not reformed?

We can also look right or give people the right impression but in the end, the One will know which form we take.

Are you informed or reformed?

16 days to Combined Camp

Pray that all the admin work can be settled by this weekend. The best thing is I still got another campaign to handle but at least I am not heading it this time, really thank God for that.

Now time to get some sleep. Hope that I wouldn't be late later.

Promises of life

"He told me last week that we will be going to ----- on this week but he can't fulfill this promise anymore..."

This statement is from lady who lost her husband due to a sudden heart attack during a wake yesterday.

It promotes me to think how wonderful promises are when they are fulfilled and how sad it can be when it doesn't.

I can't help but wonder if my sun was to set one day, how would my loved ones react to my unfulfilled promises.

We are able to keep our promises because of one such person who never break His promises. When our promises can't be fulfill under such circumstances, let it be known that we can always take comfort from our Lord.

Whether I am to leave early or I am to stay a little longer than you, and I pray to return later for your sake, be assured that our great promise will never change. And that's the only promise that matters.

Are you burn out?

I think people nowadays are very concern how they should not burn themselves out and be selective in the things they do.

I myself is concern about this issue because many times I ask myself am I doing too much, do I need more rest and not do other things? Work is something that most of us love to hate and many of us at times are left with no choice but to sacrifice our time for work. Of course we need to work for if we say no to work, how are we gonna feed ourselves/ our family?

People can easily fall into the trap of putting work first on top of many things, including their relationship. One should know that it is only right for one to work so that he or she can provide for their family and their own daily needs. One should find the right balance in life.

We can get burn out by focusing too much on work and indirectly, and at times unknown to us, we are rule over by our work. One needs to see that the one who rules our lives is non other than Jesus.

One should always put Jesus first in their heart and all other things will fall into place.

If Jesus is first, we can trust Him to lift our burdens.
If Jesus is first, we will not let work be the king of our lives rather to learn to be content in our job.
If Jesus is first, we can joyfully use our time for His sake and not for ourselves.
If Jesus is first, we will truly be able to love our loved ones wholeheartedly without any complains.
If Jesus is first, we don't have to worry about burn outs for He will surely take care of those who seeks Him.

May God be glorified in the decisions we make in our lives.

APEC 1st day

Well, today is the first day I am deployed for the APEC. Quite enjoy the work but the only problem is that it ends late. Meaning if I can't make it for the last bus I will have to take a taxi back home.

Today I just managed to take the last bus home, praise the Lord!! Not so sure about tomorrow.

Looks like I will only be able to check my email and maybe blog at these late hours for the next few days.

Pray that the APEC will go on smoothly and also something more important to pray for, the BGB Combined Camp. It's happening next month.

Thank God for Evelyn, Paul, Xiuling, Danny, Matthew, John and the Captains support so far. Pray that everything will fall into place.

Is he talking?

According to Evelyn, Amos is starting to learn to talk now.

Wonder what will be his first word.....

Are you a good shepherd?

Being a DG leader is not just about leading the bible study. We are to be the shepherd for God.

Providing love and care at a personal level is also important.

Skills and technique can be pick up along the way, what matters the most is the desire to guide the members towards living Godly lives.

Thank God for the DG Leaders' Retreat today, but it's a pity not all the leaders turn up.

Pray that God will give us the will and heart to do His will. Let not be afraid to go the extra mile for our members. All glory belongs to our Lord.

The good thing about time

The good thing about time is that you dun have to worry how it is going to past, it will just past by itself.

I was stress in handling the campaign last Sat and finally it's over. Praise the Lord.

It's the reading of God's word and prayer that God help me to pull thru those tough time. We are always very easy to fall into the trap to rely on our on strength to settle things when we forget that we are called to seek Him first in all we do.

Be it relationship, work, study or money we must always seek God first for our heavenly father knows what we need and surely Him will provide.

When in time of suffering, we should pray for God's help rather than wish for the time to fly past quickly. Time is in His hands.

Even when the road in front is dark His word is the light that will show us the path, maybe not the path we have intended but surely the path that's good.

In the Lord we trust. Seek Him first before you wander too far.
