Evelyn's plate was full on Sunday

This morning as I was leaving for work I saw the blue bulletin on the piano, full of notes taken by Evelyn. My wife is one who can take notes during sermons (which I am not very good at).

It makes my day cause this is her way of being fed with God's word. Sometimes when going for service becomes such an ease that we forgot how we can be refreshed by listening to God's word.

To be at home the whole week is not something easy and being able to bring her out to breath God's word must has been refreshing for her. Praise the Lord

Pray for God to strengthen her day by day.

Be Safe On The Road

The nature of my work requires me to promote road safety. It's very common that people take things lightly when it comes to driving, riding and crossing the road. Mainly people have the idea that as long as long as they don't get caught by police it should be okay and even if kena caught just pay the fine loh.

Most people dun realise that when one is not careful or becomes too complacent, he or she might not be able to face the consequences.

One of the NS boy from my work place was killed in a fatal road accident early this Morning. In short, please dun wait till when it's too late then one starts to regret and hopes that he or she can take a step back to start all over again.

Be responsible to not only yourselves but you love ones.

Be safe, stay alive.

Post PUNJ celebrates Evelyn's birthday

Some of the brothers and sisters from PP came today to celebrate Evelyn's birthday:

Thank you guys for coming.

Glad with the lack of time for myself

Suddenly I realise that time is something I dun have. This weekend been using it for Evelyn, worship, Sec friends' baby shower, football fellowship, my in-laws and most of it with Amos.

I am glad cause I am using my time to the fullest. Used to have the idea that I need time for myself but thank God as I grow older I see that I can still be joyful even when I have little time for myself, the best part of it is doing it with the joy of the Lord.

But having said that I still need to work out how to set time for DG and my parents. Pray that I can always spend my time joyfully, not for myself only but for others.

Watch your step....

One of the things that Evelyn and myself are concern is our inability to meet up with people when we are caught up with things happening to us, like the latest episode.

Are you walking rightly with God? We are always concern about our brother and sister in Christ that the world might pull them away from God. It's also thru these times that we are reminded and take comfort, thou we are still worry a bit, that God is in control.

So we pray that people in our prayer list will watch their steps and remember that God comes first above all things. Don't exchange the glory of God for something that don't last.

Wedding Marathon???

I am started to get excited all over again after one of my brother and sister are planning their wedding for next year.

Feels like just yesterday where everyone in the DG is getting married within 2 years and we change our roles and the wedding couples to bestman, brothers and many many others. (7 DG weddings in total!!! Haven't include my friends yet!!!)

Pray for God to provide them with the help needed for their wedding.

Am wondering will there be another wedding marathon coming along next year???

Amos 2 days short of 17 months

Taken on the 21 July, during COP.

How my boy has grown.

Wax in ear

Got MC yesterday. Sunday was hit on my right side of the head by Danny's shot during the football session. Evelyn told me to go for a check.

Esther say my ear should be fine but can see my ear drum course got wax in the ear.

No wonder my right ear doesn't seems to hear as clearly as my left.

Everything is fine!!!!

Been missing for quite awhile and some of you must be thinking hows everything. Well, Eve has been resting at home for quite a while and may have to rest more at home, but not sure yet.

We have been thinking how we can be more effective in our ministry so please pray for us to be wise and keep trusting in God.

Bible study has come to an end and really thank God for Raymond. Think he should be able to handle alone, haha.

Who gives and takes life

Happen to read about this report about a court giving approval for a person's request to die because he lost all body movement when he was hit by a car.

God gives us life and only He alone determines when a person will leave this physical world.

Man are always afraid of physical suffering and will always try means and ways to get out of the situation at all cost.

Only when one receive the grace of God than he will be truly delivered from suffering for there's something far worst than physical suffering that the world don't understand.

Pray that if we as God's people ever have such thoughts of taking our own life will always remember that whose in control of our lives and He will surely deliver us from our suffering, even though when we can't understand it at the point of time.

Dun be a candy

Saw today's ST front page on the ladies pick for the coming F1. Consider as eye candy, good-looking, sporty and articulate.

That's how our world teaches our ladies how they can glorify themselves. How sad it is that unknowly they are degrading their bodies and in turn feeding the desires of others.

Pray that people will come to know God and use their lives and bodies to glorify God.

What will you defend?

A question to the nation for this year's NDP.

Many thoughts, but if I am to asking frankly. I will defend the gospel, for that's the only thing that really matters to everyone in the end.

Pray that more and more people will come to know God.

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009 - 21KM

According to Grace, I sign up just before the early bird expired.

Anyone wanna just join us for 21 KM this time??

A week to remember

To many if they have a choice they would want to forget a period of their life that's very, very difficult.

For me, I would say the past week is a week to remember. Thou I would say it's one of the lowest point of my life but at the same time I had exprienced the greatest comfort I ever received.

Thank you all for your love, prayer and support. Most importantly thank God for everything.

For it is not mine to lose but yours to take.

I pray that all of you will have the sama attitude towards the things that's happening to you, especially when it's very difficult to understand.

Be grateful to our Lord. Turn to Him and He will surely comfort you. Not your ways but His way. You determine all things.

For it is His to give and mine to receive.

Be ready for battle

Once someone told me that at 1st leading bible study seems to be the toughest thing when being a bible study leader. But as time goes by it's the ministering the people under your care that is the toughest.

It's really true cause if we are not careful, we will unknowingly neglect others and this is an on going battle against the worldly values thats in the risk of damaging the holy relationship we have with the Lord.

Of course we must not forget first and foremost to trust in the Lord, commit all things in prayer. If not, what ever we do or say will be useless.

Pray that we will work out our salvation so that other may have the same relationship as we have with the Lord.

Let's gear up for battle.
