Make your life count

Posted by Picasa
May the Lord be glorified through this ministry.

Getting tough at work?

When you feel that you are taken advantaged or treated unfairly at work, always look to the Lord first.

Ask Him for guidance and how to move forward. As long as it does not bring dishonour to our Lord in the things we do, God will surely guide you along the way even when we can't see any good out of it or how impossible it seems.

For our Lord, all things are possible.

Pray that we will not rely on our own strength and understanding but seek His help and wisdom in doing all things.

Hold dear to the most important things in life

God, family and my loved ones.

With another super busy October coming up, please forgive me if I dun blog as often as before (but you still can catch up with me as and when you can).

No matter what happens or how demanding life's gonna be, pray that my priority in life will not change.

Hold dear to God - Pray that I will always remember whose my king and how I should live under the king's rule.

Hold dear to family - Pray that God will help the 3 of us (and also our fourth one) to support and encourage each other to focus on God and live as a God pleasing family. You be amaze how much you can learn from someone who can't speak and one who can't goes out freely.

Hold dear to loved ones - Pray that be it our parents, siblings, BSC and others that I will always show Christ love to them that God may be glorified.

Let not the world's view miss lead you but face everyday is your last and that you will be confident to face the Lord without any shame. God please help us.

Spending Good Time for Not Blogging

Blogging is a way for me and maybe my love ones to see how my lives had been and hopefully it may give them some memories.

While, been finding hard to blog recently cause am really tired the past few weeks. But one of the main thing that kept me from blogging is my time with Evelyn and Amos.

Most of my free time now is with them, thou Eve will say more is needed. Really thank God for the long weekend. Not much rest for me but I think sometime we have to see how we should best use our time and thank God for the great time with the 2 of them, and of course many others.

Pray that I will be recharged and ready to face the many challenges coming ahead.

Are you ready to climb the Mount?

Pray for a willing heart to serve the Lord

No matter how great the plan may be or how well equip a person may be, if he doesn't have the heart to serve it's useless.

Many times we ask how can we help other brothers and sisters to step up to serve for the sake of Christ and we may think of programmes and maybe courses. But in the end if the person dun respond to God's calling even he is the most talented person he is still useless.

Let's remember to pray for their hearts to be opened and burdened to serve God's great purpose for it is God, and not our effort, who will make the change in the person.

Commit them in your prayer. Trust in the Lord.

Amos and Me - Do we look alike?

Taken in May at IMM.

Wat say you?

Love is....

"Love is always giving and never asking for we have already receive the greatest love."

Have this thought after reading from aurora.

Pray, Commit and Trust in the Lord, Always.

Nothing is too big or tough in our lives that our God can't handle.

Always pray to the Lord for He is the one who answers prayers.

Always commit your ways to the Lord so that in all you do you will never be lost.

Always trust in Him for in Him we have hope

All praise be to our Lord.

Mother of 3

As I was taking LRT home just now I saw a mother of 3 taking the train with me.

The eldest daughter about 5, the 2nd son in the pram about 2 and another son around 6 months old in a sling.

I am impressed!!! Sadly I over heard that her husband is overseas.

Mothers are great!

Pray for strength and health for a 18 hrs Weekend Job

Just finished a Road Safety Campaign for Children on Friday, I stayed over and RSCP on Thursday night to secure the car park. And in a few hours time gonna be reporting for duty for a rehearsal for a major event coming in Nov.

Will be scheduled to work from 8AM to around 2AM on Saturday. Pray for strength as it's no joke to be on the road for so long. Not sure how are they going to plan out our rest time.

Now I am already looking forward to going for Sunday service. See you then.

Amos Studio Shots in May

As per promised during the DG Leaders' meeting earlier, here's the Amos Studio Shots taken in May, thanks to Cherry as she invited us to join Le Le for the studio shots

This is my favourite.

Amos thinking:"How come mummy's head looks different?"

Joy in the Lord - DG Leaders' Prayer Meeting

Cherry cooked.

Helping ourselves.

Relaxing one corner

Thankful for the dinner.

Praise the Lord for the fellowship.

After a long day's work, we are able to come together to follow up and encourage one another after the Philippians study.

Thou we were all tired, we are very thankful that we find joy in gathering as God's servants to share our lives and pray for one another.

Too bad Daniel wasn't around. But Eve and Amos did pop by in the end.

Can't wait for WorldPath to start next week.

Do all things in the love of God

Went for a talk last night at BB HQ titled:"The Challenge of Buddhism & Christianity - A Christian Appreciation of Buddhism".

For us as Christians when we meet people of other faiths we either become proud of our faith or we become too shy about speaking out. This talk shows me in the case of Buddhism we can come to appreciate some of the teaching Buddha taught during his life time. He was a wise man in terms of practical living which we as Christians can also learn but of course not all of Buddha's teaching we should agree and practice.

One of the things many people do not know is that since the time when Buddha died Buddhism had evolved into many versions. Although there are some nations that are still practicing the original teaching of Buddha, according to the speaker, but the main Buddhism that we know today is actually much more evolve and the speaker mentioned if Buddha were to be a life now he will be in for a shock to see the Buddhism that most people are practicing today.

The speaker mentioned this at the end of his talk:"Let Buddha be Buddha and let Christ be Christ" And he also say something along this line:"It is one thing to claim to know the way and other to claim to be the way."

In short, I am reminded we who have faith in the truth of God should approach all things in the love of God. It is God who chooses who to be saved and all we are called to do is witness. Witness to others in the love of Christ, not to proof that our God is better but to speak to them about the truth of God.

"You are Christian full time. Get out of the world when the time is up."

OT is a norm nowadays but the thing is people should not always be doing overtime. Of course there will be times where you really need to but in the end it's really a wisdom issue.

Was chatting with cake today and suddenly I came out with this:

"You are Christian full time. Get out of the world when the time is up."

It's so funny that on one hand we dun want to be controlled by the world but on the other maybe it is us that refuse to give time to God.

God should be the only one we deserve our OT, not the world.

Pray that our mindset will change. Pray for good time management.

Boys' Brigade Night Cycling on 5 Sept

It is happening this Saturday. If you are keen please come forward to support.

Look for Albert Wong if not can call me also.

Look wrong

I left house early today and managed to reach office on time. But something happen while I am on the bus.

Was listening to the podcast on a sermon and one of the things mentioned is "You can do right and look wrong". Remember that?

As I hop onto the bus I was thinking "well, not bad. today I can be on time at work." Then as I was in half stoning mode and mainly listening to the sermon, the bus captain suddenly said "hello!" to me. As I looked at him, I suddenly realised that I forgot to tap my EZlink card!!!!

I quickly apologised and tap my card. I have no intention to cheat the bus fare but I am certain because of the stoning and listening to the sermon I some how forgot to pay the fare.

Look wrong, ya I can kind of understand.
