Attended Ambrose and Huiming's wedding today. Knew her for a long long time, way back during our Sec school days.



Too bad I can't take leave tomorrow, if not can stay longer. No thanks to zhu zhu for her last minute invite on stage for the toasting. But to be frank, I enjoyed the dinner. Really felt honored to be there.

meeting, hse warming, hse visit....

Wat we did the whole of Sunday:

1. Went to the Woodlands prayer meeting after 1st service, pray that His will be done thru us, if not others.

2. Went to BASIC leaders-parents meeting. Out the blue David said I am half a BASIC leader. I am already in BB, wat should I do?? Just smile to the parents loh....

3. Went to Nora's hse warming. Finally saw Zul after so long. Still fat.

4. Visited Danny's hse, one of the draw was the Wii. Remember the last time I said I gonna get one after playing it at Danny's hse last Sunday?? Well the excitement is still there, but after playing it I got a feeling that I might not really want to get one any more. Think I will grow tired after sometime. At least that's what Eve thought too...

不能說的秘密 at home

Went to Daniel's house for his wedding briefing on Saturday night and met Mar Mar there. Dun how it led to us saying to watch "不能說的秘密" at my hse.



Thanks to Albert's projector, better than a 30 plus 40 inch TV. Think I am gonna get one too.

My mum's birthday

24th Oct is my mother's birthday. I am very bad at dates, thank God I have a sister who always remember these things.

Went to the coffee shop at Bukit Batok to eat the "cook fry", each dish cost only $4.80!!! Of cost the portion is small, which can order many many types of dishes.

Evelyn wasn't cause she had class at SIM, by that I mean she is the student not teaching there in case you wonder.

After dinner took my family out, less my father cause he wanna rest(woke up at 5am for work everyday), for a ride to KPE. Mother called dad and he was like "How can I miss it!!". Ah mei mentioned that when we were young, father always brought us around in his big bus and travel on new roads.

Had ice-cream at Island Creamery and ate different types of flavors. Always went there with the Post PUNJ, guess should not forget to bring our own family members to enjoy good ice-cream. But mother mentioned that it's too sweet, but how many ice-cream are not sweet anyway??

Facebook, where friends find you...

Some people like facebook for the many fun applications it provides; some people like it because it's new. Some people dun like it for the poke and super poke, which some say can be quite meaningless; some people dun like cause there is not really any good communications going on between people.

For me it's a good tool to talk to friends, catch up with those who you dun really get to see often or just too busy to meet up. And the best thing is some long lost friend could even find you!!!!

Past few months has been a period of gathering with old classmates, since the start of the year at a Poly friends wedding dinner (ya, this is also a year of weddings!!!)

The 1st friend I knew in SQS, Cai Yun, found me on facebook! Sorry Wilson, always thought that you and I knew each other the longest among the rest of our Sec school friends but the truth is you may have to take 2nd place.

Ya, Cai Yun remembered that I borrowed a workbook from her and that in a way kick start my relationship building in my Sec school days. It's really great to get in contact with old friends, even when we didn't get to meet up and talk to one another for almost ten years (well, not really cause I managed to call Cai Yun to invite her to my wedding).

One thing great about friendship is that it doesn't matter what your job, got high or low pay, or whether you are single or married, it's the relationship that was build up years ago. And this is something that money in the world can't buy.

Really looking forward to meeting more of my old and long lost contact friends. Just to meet up, spend time together and talk about things just like when we were wearing white almost everyday some 14 years ago......

Missing???

One word to sum up my pass few days.

BUSY!!!!!!!

Went to "D" Division for the pass 4 days to talk abt Drink and Drive. Pray that people will understand the danger of DD and the responsibility they should have as a person.

Campaign is coming up in 2 weeks time, still got many many things not confirm yet. Can't wait for 9 Nov to pass.

Thou been busy, thank God for the study of 1 Cor 13 that reminds us the importance of Love in our walk with Him. Pray that despite my busyness, I will constantly remember to exercise love to the people around me, especially when I dun feel like loving them.

Evelyn's back hasn't been good, think the baby is growing. Pray that she can pull thru this tough time of physical change. Maybe you guys can meet up with her to fellowship with her??

Pray that we have more time for one another during this busy time.....

Weekend full of event

Before I start, just wanna share I "PASS" my IPPT!!!! Really got to thank God cause I didn't train for at least for 3 months, especially for running. Of course can't carry on like this forever so gonna train myself up soon...

Saturday, my Poly friends came over to my house.



Really happy to be spending time with them again. Hope to have more such gathering in the future.

Sunday, things were quite normal. Had 3 rounds of Chinese Chess with Li Chuan during the BASIC Games session. Went to Danny and Audrey's house and played their Wii, actually it belongs to their friend.

Really love that machine and I surely gonna get it in Dec if I have spare cash. Love the Boxing man. Wonder can I go over to play next Sunday??? And now, both my arms are super painful loh......

The Real Test

Lead the Tuesday DG just now cause Yew Minh went for his IPPT (and he finally passed!!!). Truly enjoyed studying God's word and sharing with one another.

The study for this week is on Spiritual gift and we started out on "How's your week" as ice-breaker and Grace was like no know wat to say and the rest like Jo-lyn, Alex, TC, Aaron, XL and Ruth all started abt changing job and "commented" abt their bosses, which later Grace also shared the same abt looking for a new job. At least I know I am not the only one thinking abt it.

Well anyway, we managed to get back on track and carry on with our study. Pray that we can use our God given gifts for the common good. Think I gonna miss them next week. Pray that later tonight the Wednesday guys will turn up.

By the way, later in the Morning will be my turn for IPPT!!!!! Haven't train my running for months and also dun know can pull a not. Hope that I can pass, like Yew Minh........

Spending time with Evelyn on a Sunday afternoon

Evelyn had a tired week, mainly because she stayed at home to teach my younger brother, whose having 'O' Levels this year, while I went for my retreat and DG stuff.

So we went out in the afternoon for a while.

Went to the smelly doufu "Chou Doufu" stall at Geylang. Finally got to try it. It's very crispy, but still prefer the one we ate at Taipei.




They also have other Chinese food like fried intestines and chicken porridge.

Went to Sentosa for awhile. The place really changed a lot. We missed those days where we always had farewells and outings here.

BGB Officers' Retreat 2007

Had a one day retreat at the Bukit Batok Civil Service Club. Daniel Ong's father, his real father, Thomas Ong came and gave a talk on how to handle teen sexual issues. not an easy topic to handle. The biggest challenge is to tell them about God's order on sex for us and also to share Christ to the teens when the world's view on sex is soooooo different.

The 2nd half we have a lively session by Pearlyn from Australia who teaches us how to teach the bible to children, between 8 to 18 years old. Dun think can use everything she taught on our boys and girls but it's still a very enjoyable session. Will be posting the song and dance she taught on my facbook. Watch out for it....

Name starts with the letter "A"

Most people address me as Ahlong thou I know they also know my full name too, friends am I right??

The reason for using Ahlong is so that people can remember my name easily cause Myself got problem remembering people's name, especially person that I just knew.

Got a call from Diane at lunch time, was so excited cause long time never talk to her on the phone!!!! I said hello a few times and no response. Only hear her talking in the back ground then the line cut off. Then I release she must have called me accidentally.

Sad that didn't managed to talk to her, but at least it's seems that my number is the 1st on her handphone. "Ahlong", starts with "A". Keylock not on, usually they will dial the 1st number to dial. Well she is not the 1st one. Maybe she is still not used to her N80, right Diane??

Working HARD!!!

Last night was the 1st night I slept alone after getting married. Slept in base to rush some work so Evelyn went back to her parents place to sleep. By the time I finish my stuff it's 3 plus, AM.

Gonna be busy till the 9th Nov. That day marks the end of my busy schedule at work for the year. Looking forward to that day.

Pray for less sleep out and of course rest. Thou tired now but I feel recharged again when I think of going for CLDG later tonight. Thank God for good time spent with brothers and sisters every Thursday.

By the way, I am listening to the song "一人一半" from the movie 881. Very nice, Should listen if you have the chance.......

Went to the Red Cross Home this morning. Didn't know it was at Hillview area. They house disable children, men and women of all ages.





Seeing the people there made me feel ashame of myself when at times I complain abt how tough my life has been, in terms of work and many other stuff. Sometime I really wonder am I asking too much in my life.

I praise God for how He has worked in my life and teach me to be contented with what I have for He knows what is the best for us, giving us what we need and not what we want.

Are you contented with "what you need" or still chasing "what you want"?

A weekend of gathering

Just got home from the BASIC retreat. It's great to spend time with brothers and sisters knowing that we have the same focus in life. They will break camp on Sunday, so will drop by tomorrow night, late night, cause so happen I will be having a BBQ gathering with the Bishan CLDG. Really looking forward to it.

Thank God for a wonderful weekend of gathering. It's totally better than watching Football man. Did I mentioned BASIC is also doing some kind of a recruitment drive??

Just when you think things are gonna get easier

My mum came over on Tuesday and Wednesday night cause my brother can't really study at home so they came over. Thanks mother for cleaning the house when things aren't easy for me.

Been hard trying to focus on my work, weekend is coming again and pray that I can accomplish my tasks this week and move forward next week, work wise.

Just finished the book of Hosea last week and was like "Ya, going back to New Testament. Should be easier to understand". TOTALLY WRONG LOR!!!!!!

Surely it's good not only for me but the rest of my brothers and sisters on how we live our lives, "WHOSE THE HEAD OF YOUR LIVE?!" (1Cor 11:2-16). The DG got kind of messy, both the Tue and Wed wan, cause it's not really easy for us to see or I should say understand wat really happened back then, but thank God that we are able to understand the principle of the study and wat was Paul's main point.

Ya, having said my mother and brother (together with my sister too)came over on both nights, got to thank my wife for accompanying them. If not for her, I wouldn't be able to go for DG on both nights. Thanks my dear.

Been really struggling a lot, especially at work (that's why the low frequency on Facebook and Blog). Really hard to live up my live properly as I should be. But, thank God for CLDG just now. If you think study 14 is just only about the Lord's Supper?? Think again!! Thank God for His word which really reminded how I should live and encourages me how to carry on to live my life for Him.

Do read it up, 1Cor 11:17-34, and I pray that you too may be challenged to look within yourself and ask "And I taking my walk seriously", if you proclaim that you have known the One that will come again.

I am gonna change

Yesterday was Children's day and took leave cause Eve also not working. Talk to a few people and was thinking thru a lot stuff and found that I am not really heeding His calling to live a life that's please to Him.

FM 07 & EPL, I dare to say, are my Idols that took quite an amount of time from me, time that could be put to better and wiser use.

From now on, I am gonna change, with God's help......
