Was not feeling well on Monday so actually rested at home and managed to visit my mom for dinner. Kind of miss her.....
Mar Mar's dad got free tickets for the Golden Compass at Suntec yesterday night so he invited us since Mar Mar's mum was not coming.
Think we heard a lot abt the show and the message that it would give. Well, all I can say is that it's not worth the money to watch in the cinema.
Is that true? Firstly, there is some hints and meaning here and there abt rebellious but like wat Mar Mar said, the only thing that her GB took home was "Oh, the bear was so cute!!"
Think may have to thank God that the film was not well put together. Dun get me wrong with all the visuals and effects. There good, but watching a movie is not just abt that. The funniest things is that whenever the little goes around talking to people and asking for help, they would just say "Yes". I was like, there's totally no development of relationship of the character. It's like someone you dun know asking you for assistance and you just say yes without thinking twice.... Bad movie.
If you take my advice, watch the Jap movie "HERO". It's at least 10 times better that GC. Waste your 1.5 hrs and money if you dun believed me.
DUN WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

A Sunday of joy and sadness
Missed service cause I went to the BBHQ for the Sharity Gift Box on Sunday. Can't believe it's my 1st time there after being in BB for almost 3 years!!
Was a bit lost cause it's my 1st time and Albert tell me "Just be there." so I don't really know wat to do.
The boys from Siling have to leave by 5 cause according to Albert, they reach home around 11plus on Saturday and the parents were not happy. Think same goes for the other companies cause many of the boys that were supposed to be out stationed were MIA, thus Mavis boys from Woodlands Sec had to take over them. And that's where I come into the picture.
In view of the timing (it's 10 and some of that still at BBHQ, their are suppose to be at point by 9am), I took a van from BBHQ to drive the boys to various locations (AMK Hub, Hougang Point, Thomson Plaza, Bukit Panjang Plaza and Clementi Central). All in all took me closed to 2 hrs by the time I reach back. And it started to rain, on and off the whole afternoon.
Quite a few of our Church members, led by Albert, came to support. Thou it was raining, non of them complained and I really thank God for their love.
But things did not end all in joy.
At the last location, one of the boys came to me and asked if he can leave from the last point (all the boys were supposed to report back to HQ 1st). Ist thing that came to my mind was that the boy wanted to leave early so I rejected him. And it's only until he told me that his mum told him that his father was "going anytime".
I was like kana a Stone Cold Stunner. I am like "Wat is this man", I mean the boy look so calm and I was thinking to myself "Then why were you here?" Thank God Albert's bus was abt to leave the location that I just arrived and took him back to HQ 1st.
Received the news in the evening when I was at a wedding dinner that his father passed away during, the boy didn't managed to reached home in time.
Pray for the boy that he will remind strong and he may continue to come for BB. May God watch over him and his family.

Lazy again, but the weekend was good.
Should have updated the happenings abt last weekend but was a little bit lazy....
Sat had my DG retreat. Rented a mini bus to fetch all of them (sound like school outing) to West Coast Park and played some retro games, actually to be frank we only played one game. FLY KITE!!!!!
Used to fly kite quite often when I was young cause I grew up at West Coast and my parents often brought me to the park to fly kite.
Was surprise that some of the DG members never fly kite before!!! The sad part is that quite a number of them had appointment in the afternoon so all in all we only gathered for abt 3 to 4 hours.
We opened our "Wish Tin" (I just gave it a name myself) and read our wish list last year. Thank God that some of it came true. But a year is too long so this time we decided to seal it for 6 months. Which means our DG will have 2 retreat per year!!!
We discussed on 2 things. (1) Thought of moving the DG meeting place to our house but it's a bit too far for others so we agreed that we shall still meet on wednesday night at the Church office, and we are seriously praying for a bigger room. (2) And we also agreed to set the last Sunday of every month as a "DG Sunday" (another name that I just came up with), which we will spend the Sunday going to service together(execpt for those serving in BASIC)and we will spend the afternoon together and have fellowship.
Thank God for the relationship He has give us between Him and the DG thru out the past 2 years. Do pray for us that as we set our new targets for the new year, our DG may growing stronger and move towards serving Him whole heartedly.

She washes the dishes
My wife just washed the dished as I was playing Olivia Ong's "CLose To You".
Thanks my dear.

Reason why people dun reply SMS
Ever encounter people who dun reply SMSes? I do.
Not really blaming you guys but just that since I am on MC thought of putting my thoughts on this issue before I rest.
I myself had ever did this to others too. There are many reasons I can give, but I think the worst is unknowing this shows our attitude towards that the person who sent the SMSes, which I hope that I am not giving people such impression.
1)that person is not so important to me
2)the issue it's not so important to me
Dun think anyone would have that idea on mind unless it is someone you hate. But I think generally the receiver dun know that an acknowledgment or a simple reply could mean a lot to the sender.
Just one example: Would we ignore the SMS if it's send by the boss who pays your wages? I think even if one is super busy one will still reply. Even if one really miss that SMS, one will at least try their best to let the boss know they are sorry, even if it's days later.
You never know what you are doing to others until someone dun reply you.
People dun send messages to nobody, they send to somebody who hold a certain place in their heart.
So if I have ever given you this type of idea or hurt you that you mean a nobody to me, I am deeply sorry.
Think we as human have to watch how we respond to others, before our HP numbers become useless.

Starting of the End..... for 2007
Sunday was a bit special cause it's been a long while since I went for service without having any bible study during mid week. This week is on the 1st half of 1 Cor 16.
Thank God for pastors like Chris for the clear teaching, reminder and encouragement. One thing that really struck me was when he pointed out how Christians should plan for their lives with God in mind. Planning without God in our life is a real danger.
Year end is coming again and it's always a time for people to look back and give thanks for the things that God has blessed us. But there will be some, like me, will feel bad abt some bad decisions we have made in the past year.
As our DG will be having a year end retreat this Sat, one of my worries is their response to the challenge that I will put forth to them for the new year; how do we want to live our lives for God in the new year. I am worried abt how others might respond and is also not sure should I speak out or just pray quietly that all things may just "so happen" turns out well for everyone but after the sermon, it all the more encourages me the importance of not only to have faith in God thru prayers but also thru actions.
What's the point of achieving good grades or done super well in our careers and feel great looking back at the end of each year but God is never our focus, or even worst when some thinks that living a life for God is actually a hassle.
It's the start of the last month of year 2007, pray that all of us would be truthful to ourselves and really make plans for the new year that we may make the right decision to set our priorities right for God in the new year.
Thank God for the blessing for the year that's abt to end.

Stand Chart 2007, almost cannot stand.....
It's been a long time since I last went for such run. Think that was 3, 4 years back. Only went for 10km, dun dare to go for half. Everything went well, met Yew Minh along the way, near the half way point. It's good to run with a few friends. Maybe next year can get more people to join me.
Can feel the pain after the 2km mark, especially on my right foot. Think the body is really not used to running long distance. Told Hui Ming, who got a ride from me to the run, abt my long term plan to run in the Morning. Pray that I will be able to do so, for health reasons mainly, also wanna "look & feel" good again.
Now my right foot still hurts....
